Milton Keynes based Domino has launched a new iPad app which catapults the brand into the forefront of mobile platform success.
Customers will be able to view Domino’s menu, place orders and track their delivery using GPS technology. Consumers will not only be able to pay via debit and credit card but also PayPal which gives customers more choice in the way that they pay. Domino have also created the option to ‘create your own’ pizza and see what it will look like before deciding to order it.
The new iPad user interface has been developed by Somo and fits in with Domino’s iPhone and Android apps which have been hugely successful. Since launching the new iPhone app 8 months ago, Domino have generated around £10 million worth of sales from this avenue alone. Will other UK businesses follow suit and turn towards the mobile platform arena to drive sales – if Domino have managed to generate £10 million from this medium in 8 months then other brands will certainly follow.
