This specialist in the retail, FMCG and food service sectors is seeking a well-rounded and analytical product manager to take a new and exciting role within their business. Candidates must be excellent communicators, with first class analytical and innovation/NLD skills happy to take on a large product range. It’s essential that all candidates have some experience of working in the FMCG/Retail/Food Service sectors either as a product manager, or in category, trade or brand management.
Reporting into senior management this new position will be an essential factor in the ongoing growth of the business, and due to the relationships internally both with stakeholders and senior management, it’s essential that the person coming in is commercially astute to manage their integration and ongoing plans with ease.
In terms of the candidates skill, NPD, Innovation and competitor/product insight will be a key aspect of the role, so candidates must have a high level of analytical ability, and be a fairly competent user of Excel. However whilst being analytical, category and product management skills are essential as is an understanding of how the role feeds into other areas of the business such as sales and marketing. Any international exposure and/or language skills would be an advantage but are not essential.
