Communications Officer, Cambridge (flexible) -

The Bell Foundation is a charity which aims to overcome exclusion through language education by working with partners on innovation, research, training and practical interventions. The Foundation is delivering its vision through three strategic programmes which focus on pupils, young people and those involved with the criminal justice system for whom English is an Additional Language.

The Foundation has an exciting new Communications Officer role working within a growing, dynamic team. This role will be pivotal in executing the Communications and Digital Strategy to enable the charity’s programmes to grow in size and influence in order to positively impact the lives of our beneficiaries. The role will be key in building awareness of the Foundation’s expertise, maximising audience reach, as well as driving engagement with assets and participation in events. Key to this will be the project management of various Communications projects, for example, the production of accessible, engaging content tailored to the relevant audiences.

We are looking for:

  • A proactive, solution-focussed, innovative and self-motivated individual.
  • An individual who can work well as part of a team as well as on their own initiative with the skills to take ownership of this new role.
  • Excellent written, verbal, numerical and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent time management, organisation, project management and budgetary skills.
  • A minimum of six years working in a comparable role within the charity sector or education, with a proven track record of successful communications across a wide range of disciplines and platforms.
  • Experience of evaluating and analysing the impact of communications, identifying opportunities, and making and implementing recommendations.
