Description

Are you a proven Senior Marketing Manager/Marketing Director with experience in software and technology? Do you have a highly-strategic as well as a hands-on approach? Do you want an autonomous, powerful role within an innovative technology organisation in Cambridge? If so, then we have just started working exclusively with a highly-regarded company who have a Marketing Director role that could suit you perfectly.

This standalone role could work for someone currently in a Marketing Management/Head of Marketing position that’s looking to take a step up into Directorship, as well as somebody already in the most senior position. Due to the complex nature of business here, it is essential that the successful Marketing Director comes from a technology-led background, including software, tangible technology and telecoms, with a demonstrable ability to understand new technology and conceptual ideas. A degree in marketing is ideal here.

Working very closely with board as well as the wider sales and product departments, this role is also highly-autonomous, requiring someone who is passionately self-driven with both significant and successful strategic marketing experience as well the hands-on implementation of it all, due to it being a standalone position, to create and lead the marketing strategy.

Seeing your campaigns and strategy through from concept to execution, you will not only have some innovative and disruptive ideas, but you’ll be commercially-driven too, driving enquiries to the business and managing the budget. Flexibility here is vital, as you will form the marketing department in its entirety, so you’ll need solid project management skills, impeccable organisation and be an outstanding communicator, both written and face-to-face, working well with all stakeholders, internally and externally.

You’ll get stuck into everything here, including content generation, PR, digital marketing and strategic planning, managing agencies to achieve the best results, so experience in these areas is essential.
