Product Marketing Manager, Cambridge –
They’re an award winning business and a respected leader in their field who continue to expand their portfolio whilst continually setting the benchmark for others to follow. As a result they are seeking a customer focused product marketing manager who can develop the right positioning, content and strategies to reach and engage the target audience.
Working closely with a broad range of internal stakeholders including product development, engineering and sales, you will need to be both technically literate and commercially minded in order to succeed in this role. It will be your responsibility to make sure that the positioning of your products is accurate for your target segments and, based on research, you’ll need to be clear with regard to where the marketing focus needs to be, i.e. what are your customers challenges, what kind of content do they like, how can we make them more aware of the value of partnering with us, etc.
This role would suit a marketer with a passion for products and a customer focused approach. Previous experience in a technical discipline would be a distinct advantage as you will need a flair for taking complex technical concepts and communicating them to a broad range of audiences.
It’s a hands-on role, creating content, developing messages, etc. however you will be required to think more strategically as well by understanding the competitive landscape and adapting your approach accordingly to meet the customer needs. You’ll need to be data driven with great analytical skills and the ability to take insight from market research and data to inform marketing plans. A ‘can-do’ and self- motivated attitude, strong organisation and project management skills, as well as excellent attention to detail are all essential requirements.
Due to the location of their Cambridge office this position may suit candidates commuting from Huntingdon, Bury St Edmunds, Peterborough, Royston, St Ives, St Neots, Letchworth, Newmarket, and Ely.
