PR and Communications Manager, Colchester -
An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced communications professional to join a national award-winning organisation based in Essex. The ideal candidate will come from a commercial background, ideally working within a multi-site organisation, and preferably will have had significant involvement with public relations and communications within the services, care or leisure sectors. At minimum, you will be a Senior PR and Communications Executive with around 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar industry.
Reporting to the Senior PR Manager, as PR and Communications Manager, your overall responsibility will be the development and delivery of an effective comms strategy, encompassing our client’s objectives and ethos throughout. Your daily duties will include:
- Managing our client’s reputation – ensuring positive media portrayal and minimising potentially damaging representations;
- Utilising your journalistic abilities – developing and deploying regular internal and external communications through a variety of formats including social media, magazines, email and more;
- Maintaining an analytical mindset – converting campaign data into valuable insights that will enable progression and development for current and future campaigns;
- Providing a PR presence at a portfolio of events – representing the organisation at a variety of occasions including open days, opening ceremonies etc. across the UK.

This position is commutable from Colchester, Brentwood, Ipswich, Braintree, Clacton-on-Sea, Basildon, Chelmsford, Bury St Edmunds, Sudbury, Felixstowe, Southend and most parts of Essex.
