Our award-winning client, who are leaders in their field, are currently searching for an experienced NPD Manager to join their busy and lively team. You will have at least 5 years’ experience developing new products and managing the full cycle NPD process within a large FMCG or food business and will ideally also have a degree in Food Science, Food Technology or Nutrition. You will be comfortable liaising with stakeholders at all levels and will have exceptional negotiation and influencing skills. With a creative and innovative mindset and strong strategic capabilities, you will have a strong record driving successful NPD launches for an FMCG brand.
As NPD Manager, you will be responsible for the full NPD process, from start to finish. From sourcing raw ingredients and approving recipes, to developing the product in a kitchen, to devising appealing packaging, conducting focus groups with target consumers and, ultimately, launching the product into the market; your role will be hands-on throughout, so experience working across multiple projects at a time and exceptional organisational skills are a must in this role. Managing a small team, you will oversee their development and ensure that they deliver innovative new products on time and within budget. As NPD Manager, you will be responsible for keeping key stakeholders in the business abreast of all NPD activity and providing them with regular reports detailing how the latest product launches will ensure the brand stays ahead of the competition. Ultimately, this role oversees all product innovation for the business and will be responsible for developing, managing and launching creative products that meet customers’ needs to help drive brand awareness, market share and sales.
