Intranet Manager, near Banbury -

We are currently recruiting for an Intranet Manager to join one of our global clients in their Banbury office. The role of the Intranet Manager will be responsible for the strategy, governance, content, upskilling and understanding of user requirements. You will be overseeing the daily process and management of the intranet, including creating and executing company policies and standards to ensure effective and engaging content that meets the needs of the business and ensures consistent user experience.

You will be leading a global community of content owners and editors, whilst maintaining overall quality control on content and design. Working with a wide range of stakeholders in the UK and on a global scale it will be your job to encourage collaboration and drive a consistent approach.  You will be driving new content and editing submitted content to promote a consistent tone of voice, as well as improving findability of content through information architecture, search functionality upgrades and effective use of tagging.

The ideal candidate will be someone with proven experience managing intranets. You will need a solid understanding of SharePoint and an understanding of the principles of Information Architecture design for intranets. It would also be useful to have a basic understanding of common web technology, e.g. HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.

Note that whilst this role is based at head office near Banbury, for the right candidate there may be some flexibility regarding remote/home working. Due to the location of their office, it is strongly preferable that you have access to your own transport as there isn’t a public transport network nearby.
