Senior Marketing Manager, Stowmarket - 

Brand Recruitment have been commissioned, on an exclusive basis, to work on a particularly exciting senior marketing role for one of the regions food and drink success stories.

These opportunities present themselves every so often, but it is incredibly rare to have the chance to work on both food and drinks-based products... rather than either of the above!

The business sells products on a global scale through to the majority of the major food and beverage brands, and they’ve been synonymous with food production within their field for the last few decades.

Their product range is really vast, and because they’ve been working with many of their customers for such a long time, they’re well respected and meticulous when it comes to their service offering.

After going through a period of growth, this ever-expanding business is now seeking a candidate for the position of Senior Marketing Manager to join their team in Stowmarket. This role will be a critical hire which will see the incumbent involved in the development of both B2B and B2C marketing activities across the product portfolio.

Firstly, you will need some background within food or drinks-based products ideally… this is the due to the heavy interaction the person would have with the innovation function within the company. Building strategic relationships with a number of internal stakeholders will be high on the priorities list, as the business does look to have marketing working closely with sales and other departments to achieve its goals.

You will have some interaction with the budget, and responsibility for working with their head of marketing to build viable strategies, and then driving it forward across the business. Given the current structure within the wider marketing team, this role requires someone with some digital awareness and more broad marketing experience if possible, ideally covering some brand development.

There’s currently one team member to be managed and mentored. In the future this may be set to grow, so it would be good if you’ve had some exposure to managing before, ideally within a medium to large sized organisation.

If you are a keen problem solver, this element of the role will hopefully be of interest as there’s a real feeling of ‘ideas sharing’ across the business, and they aren’t scared to do things a bit differently.

This would be most suitable to a candidate who’s had experience of marketing products being sold into FMCG environments, however, the company may also consider candidates who have worked within marketing and innovation for other tangible or component based products.

Due to the location of the office, this role would be suitable for those living in: Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds, Ipswich, Norwich, Colchester, Thetford, Sudbury, Diss and Newmarket.
