This well-known retail brand is looking for a proven PR officer to join their team on a permanent basis. Ideally of graduate calibre, you will possess a strong track record in media relations gained either in an agency, in-house or as a journalist; preferably within the consumer sector, however, this isn’t an essential requirement. With strong copywriting skills, you will be able to manage the strategic end as well as do the doing.
As the new PR Officer in the team you will be responsible for providing a first class press office and PR function across a key area of the business. Effectively managing daily press enquiries and relationships with journalists and key stakeholders, you will be a positive team player with good media contacts and excellent communication skills. Able to demonstrate a strong record of achievement in media relations, you will have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. You will also need to have excellent verbal and written English language skills which will be fundamental for writing concise copy.
This role represents a fantastic interim opportunity for an experienced communications manager to work for a high profile and evolving company that can offer a fantastic working environment and culture. Due to the location of their Suffolk office, this role could be of particular interest to those living in Bury St Edmunds, Ipswich, Norwich, Diss, Stowmarket, Lowestoft, and some wider parts of Suffolk.
