Brand Recruitment are always on the lookout for exciting marketing conferences and events that would be of interest to marketing professionals in the Eastern region. During May the Chartered Institute of Marketing are holding several events in and around the Central and Eastern region. These events offer marketers a great resource to current marketing trends and information as well as networking opportunities. Attendance to one of the events can also contribute to any CPD training.
The first event is to be held on the 17th May in Chelmsford and will take the shape of a ‘Digital marketing boot camp’. This is a full day event and is split into three sections. Customer Profiling is the topic of the first seminar; customers are the centre of all your marketing strategy so this is a good starting point to make sure you are targeting the correct customers. The second section is Online PR which looks at how effective PR can be and how to integrate PR into any digital marketing strategy. The third and final part of the day looks at Content Strategy. Content marketing is becoming one of the most important elements of any digital marketing strategy so this topic will be invaluable to any marketers. We are recruiting for many online marketing jobs and PR jobs across the Central and Eastern region and these skills are increasingly sought after.
On the 22nd May, ‘Social media – The Rise of Marketing 2.0’ is taking place in Northampton. This is a great two hour seminar for anyone who would like to know how social media can work within their organisation and the practicalities of social media. There will also be a Q&A session with Dr Digital experts after the seminar.
The final event taking place is in Hatfield at the University of Hertfordshire and is an all day event for small business marketing. According to the Federation of Small Business “SMEs accounted for 99.9 per cent of all private sector businesses in the UK, 59.1 per cent of private sector employment and 48.8 per cent of private sector turnover” in 2012 which highlights the importance of small businesses’. This conference is suited to small business owners who want to find out how marketing can benefit their business. The conference has a packed schedule with a variety of topics covered including marketing on a shoestring, cost-effective online advertising as well and funding help available for small businesses.
