A leading FMCG company is searching for an experienced Category Manager to join them on an interim basis at their offices in Kettering. If you are a hands-on, motivated, passionate and creative Category Marketer with at least 3 years’ FMCG experience under your belt, then this could be the role for you! You will be adept at analysing and interpreting key data and insights to capture an understanding of the market, the consumer and competitors. You will have experience working with key retailers and driving category performance within these retail environments.
As Category Manager, you will be responsible for gaining new insights into the consumer and the market, and using this data to influence decisions relating to NPD and promotions, as well as to drive the category and business as a whole. A confident presenter, you will be required to present your insights both to the business and internal stakeholders as well as to key retailers. Liaising with other members of the department and the customer, you will assist in formulating a sales and marketing strategy based on category insights, trends and data and ensure all marketing activity is implemented to a high standard. As well as making recommendations for the shorter-term marketing strategy, you will also be involved in developing longer-term, strategic category plans.

Due to the location of their Northamptonshire office, this role is commutable from Kettering, Northampton, Corby, Market Harborough, Leicester, Peterborough, Huntingdon, Wellingborough, Oakham, Stamford and Bedford.
