Our client is one of the UK’s fastest growing within their field (retail), they have just attained their highest sales revenue (and headcount) to date, and have ambitious plans for continued growth across 2024 and beyond. They export their products to 30+ countries worldwide, and partner with a portfolio of prestigious of brands.

The Role - Senior Marketing Manager

Fantastic opportunity for an experienced, talented, and ambitious senior marketer to join a successful and fast-growing UK retail company in a key leadership role. As Senior Marketing Manager, you will manage a team of 5, and lead on all digital and traditional marketing efforts, driving brand awareness globally across both B2B and B2C channels. You’ll need to be both strategic and hand-on as this role will require someone who is comfortable sitting at board level, leading the team but also rolling up their sleeves and doing the doing.

Role duties:

  • Develop and execute the overall marketing strategy
  • Oversee engaging e-mail content and subscriber growth
  • Lead social media and influencer strategies
  • Coordinate with major licensors for consumer initiatives
  • Collaborate with retailers on innovative marketing initiatives
  • Oversee content creation and design of marketing materials
  • Work with the ecommerce manager to boost online sales
  • Analyse and report on marketing performance
  • Ensure brand consistency and contribute to product development
  • Participate in trade fairs and in-house events

Requirements:

  • Previous experience of at least 3+ years in a senior/strategic marketing manager role
  • Ability to be hands-on, as well as a strategic - this role requires a healthy mix of both!
  • Prior experience in building awareness, both digitally and via traditional methods, of a consumer product brand
  • Excellent copywriting and proofreading skills, for the delivery of marketing content across several channels
  • Prior experiencing using ecommerce and email platforms (such as Mailchimp, Klaviyo, Shopify) *desirable though not essential
  • Be willing to travel occasionally for domestic and international trade fairs
  • Knowledge of digital marketing is essential, including: website analytics tools eg: Google Analytics; Knowledge of setting up and optimising Google AdWords campaigns; knowledge of PPC Advertising Strategy
  • Experience with SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and/or display advertising campaigns

Location

This position will be hybrid, with 3/4 days in the office, and the rest working remotely. Due to the location of the offices the role is suitable for those commuting from Watford, Amersham, Chesham, Berkhamsted, Hemel Hempstead, High Wycombe, Aylesbury, Rickmansworth
