We are pleased to support our former Head of Recruitment Joby Read in his latest venture, Cambridge Talent Partnership. After successfully founding and developing sales recruitment agency Zero Surplus, Joby found himself being approached by clients to recruit across other disciplines. Over time he was joined by Chris Jacobs who brings another wealth of experience to the table.
“With skills shortages everywhere post-Covid, companies were finding it hard to recruit for roles across the spectrum, and some of these had seen the effectiveness of the search and selection style approach we use, and asked us to work on roles outside of the sales space. So we’ve recruited for supply chain, medical, scientific, warehousing, procurement, commercial and logistics roles. Some of these sectors myself or Chris have had previous experience recruiting for, but others not so much.”
“The beauty of our model is that there is no preconceived idea of what a business is looking for. On each and every role we drill down in order to understand the organisation we are working with, the market they operate in, as well as the particulars of the role itself. We’ve both been around the block for a while now so are very proficient in assessing what we need to find out to give our clients the best service.”
Zero Surplus will still be providing specific sales and business development recruitment to its host of clients, yet Joby felt it made sense to make it clear that we successfully recruit across many other sectors, using an approach that organisations would ordinarily only benefit from by paying a retainer to an executive search firm. Having worked with Joby for years, we know that he can deliver results, and will also give honest and pragmatic feedback on any roles he is asked to assess. Zero Surplus has already gone from strength to strength, so we know Cambridge Talent Partnership will do the same.
